Lott scam to gain access to my checking account

I was sent a letter stating that I won the DE-LOTTO NORTH AMERICAN SWEEPSTAKES LOTTERY held on july 13th, 2007 in the 2nd category. There was a check enclosed for $4875 and i was suppose to use that to pay $2875 for govt taxes on the 125K that I won.
This is the same person or people who have been identified as Mayfair Financial Services.
They want you to deposit the check in your checking account and then call back the following day to get the number for the tax agent.
