BEWARE of this so called recruitment agency.
My problem with the specific agency is that I was hired 2 months before she physically opened her doors. I was unemployed at the time due to leaving a job that sucked so I could possibly move on to something more lucrative. Before that she was running her "business" out of her house. So she befriends me and is basically all over me. The reason is previous to meeting her, I was in sales at a firm that she found interest in because i had a list that she wanted. Some people would obviously do anything to see what they can get from anyone. I was wined, dined, given a very good remuneration package, 3 weeks vacation, the whole nine yards... meanwhile the whole time, all this women ever kept doing is interrogating me every chance she got. She is very good at it. She has no friends and no one likes her, she knows it. She makes people feel sorry for her by using the fact that she cannot bear children and makes a huge big deal out of the fact. LIke it consumes her life. As a matter of fact, that is her weapon. She makes people feel so bad for her and they all try to make her feel better about the fact she cannot have kids (meanwhile she drinks like a lush) she has even suggested that she may need a surrogate mother (she admits she doesn't want kids, her hubby does)... so anyways that is how she breaks people down and gets them to try to "HELP" her, by making you feel so sorry for her that you will give her what you can to help out. So she is preying on other peoples kindness and she is in tears and between tears she is interrogating and asking, who was your boss when you worked here, what did he do, how long was he there, how many people in that department, etc, you get the picture. Yes, all the red flags were there, all she ever did was talk about integrity, honesty, and being accountable. What a lie. Its like when a total liar says, just trust me. Same deal.
To make a really long story shorter. I turned down other job offers that I had after I signed with her and agreed to wait the 2 months before I was to start.
She knew about it and didn't care. She then hired someone else who was also just like her, bosom buddies. There didn't seem to be a need for me anymore as both of these women began harrassing and insulting me. I knew that it was headed down this road as the unbearable owner herself told me in confidence (when she thought I was stupid enough to be friends with her and still be screwed over by her!!) that her plan was to just hire people, use them for all of their leads and information and then get rid of them, but that I had no worries because I was the first employee and I would be fine. The thing is no one she knew wanted to work for her. For someone that has so many contacts in the industry, she has an even worse reputation.
She insisted that all new employees (and now there were 3 of us) must provide her with all our client lists before we start so she can enter them into the system. She wanted me to give her my list that she wanted (which by the way didn't have anything to do with her business, it was something else she could make money doing), all she ever wanted was this stupid list. Because of that she never got it. I worked for her for 4 days and she fires me saying that I haven't sold anything and that I need training and I shouldn't be in sales, I am too unprofessional. Yeah but she sounds like a turtle on the phone... one thing I noticed about her is that she had 2 contracts for me to sign when I signed on as her employee. We met in a coffee shop. THere was no photocopier. The contracts were different. I know that now. I am sure that I signed some stupid thing allowing her to use me and fire me without any recourse. The problem is I have no idea what the laws are and if I sign a contract not knowing, then what? I trusted they were both the same because I trusted her since I though why would someone so successful stoop to this level.
After all that. All of this occured during the Christmas holidays and there are no jobs at that point in time. She knew that I would be stuck and didn't care. She only wanted the stupid list and to treat me like garbage. She waited until I contacted all of my leads and still has my voice on her phone system accepting calls. So if I was so useless, why is it that my voicemail is still up and when I call there, the other girls are instructed to tell people that I am on a leave of absence.
I guess what I"m saying is don't go work for her, she will lie to you and use you. She has no intention of keeping this business going, she is merely riding out her 5 years before she can get a pardon for committing fraud. (a couple more years to go, of course once she gets a pardon, she can start applying for a regular job again as all employers now do a criminal background check). All I know is that she is a money hungry ugly fuddy duddy who is a criminal and commits fraud from her former employers. I have never heard of anyone being sued by a company that they worked for. She was sued by a former employer for close to a million dollars and she claimed sexual harrassment, so they dropped the law suit. As far as I know, there was no sexual harrassment. She just lies and steals from everyone because she is the most talentless, empty shell of a person that i have ever met.
She won't find you a job either. She will bring you in on a bogus job ad and interrogate you about your former employers and if you are currently employed somewhere, the second you leave her office, she will call your boss and ask questions about you, thus helping in getting you fired so she can place someone else in your seat.
I know what your thinking, what an A**hole eh. I hope that both clients and candidates and even other recruiters that need jobs stay away from this one. She is unethical, immoral and a sociopath. She is a very jealous person and will do anything to harm someone as she feels that she has had the worst life, but at the same time, she brags about her 2 million dollar home. (That she made off of stealing and lying to people). I hope that all the things that she took from others will be taken away from her because thats the only way she'll learn some respect.
