Capital One called me asking if I wanted a credit card. I did, so I said yes. The guy on the phone rattled on about the card and got my information. I accepted the card, and as an after thought the Capital One guy was like, oh by the way there's a $59 annual fee, to which I said no way, I'm not going to pay money to spend money, the guy said okay no problem.
About a month later I got my Capital One card, which I returned with a note explaining what happened, and why I didn't want it.
But, Capital One kept sending me bills for the $59 annual fee, even after I returned my card. Of course, they kept my card and didn't return it to me with my bills.
If I can help anyone avoid being screwed over by Capital One, it will all be worth it! NEVER even mention you are even considering getting a Capital One card.
