The car stopped on the highway while I was driving to Whistler, BC so I took it to SMD Automotive Ltd. to have it checked. After examining the car, the technician told me my car's gasket head needed to be replaced and that the job would cost $2000. They immediately suggested I sign the car over to them as the repairs would cost more than the car was worth (the car was a 1997 Acura).
Less than 5 minutes after this, Peter Rozsa suggested I sign a car ownership transfer form to transfer ownership of the car from me to their shop. When I suggested I may have the car towed to Vancouver, the secretary suggested that they shop may be interested in buying the car from me. Several mechanics and the secretary seemed to be in cahoots to try to get me to either sign my car over to them or to sell my car to them for practically nothing (they offered $400).
