When shopping in Zellers Stratford I was interested in purchasing an X Box game. The regular retail price was at that point $59.99. Less than one week later I once again entered the store to purchase the same item and the price had risen to $64.99.
In the current economic situation where everyone is extolling the virtues of lowering prices to compete with the cross border shopping, I find it astounding that Zellers chose to RAISE their price to obviously take advantage on the unwary Christmas shopper.
I have decided to boycot Zellers stores on principle, and will encourage all of my family and aquaintances to so the same. Such a blatent attempt to make a larger profit on a high ticket item is reprehensible, duping the public is downright unethical.
