On March 22, 2006, I purchased a custom Stainless Steel Snare Drum from Potyondi Custom Drums. I let Mr. Potyondi charge my debit card that very day, and I paid the full amount of $1215.08.
For months I wrote him by email to check progress on the drum.By July I knew something was seriously wrong. I gave Mr. Potyondi the fullest benefit of the doubt that his excuses were for real. He became increasingly hard to contact.By October, however, he guaranteed me I'd have the drum by Christmas. It never came.
Since January I have been in the process of filing various complaints with consumer protection agencies, including the Better Business Bureau of Ontario Canada. They contacted him by mail and actually got a response in which he promised to send me a refund.
As of several weeks later, I still did not have my refund. I reopened my complaint, and even called him directly for one last stab at a resolution. He lied again over the phone, stating he'd send a refund by March 27. I never got it.
I will now have to take much more serious action.
