I recently received this check in the mail for $4, 825.00. along with a letter that stated I had won the North American Sweepstakes Lottery held on Sept 2, 2006. The total amount of this lottery was $5, 000000.00 us dollars that I will share with 35 winners . leaving my winnings as $100, 000.00 us dollars. This check I received was from my sponsor Allied Trust & Securities.
The check I received was supposedly for the taxes on the winnings and that Allied Trust & Securities will release my winnings once they got the money from money gram.
Well to make a real long story short I cashed the check sent the money and never heard from them again.
I did in fact hear from my bank letting me know that my account was frozen and I am now responsible to pay back the $4825.00 nice huh and right before Christmas too.
I am writing to let every one know that since this has happened all I hear from people is the well known saying IF IT"S SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE THAN IT PROBABLY IS. The saying is TRUE. Don't trust anyone that wants to just give you money from a lottery that you never entered.
