I received a check in the mail along with a letter saying I won in the Bonanza Royal British Lottery. The drawing was held in London, but the bank's name on the check was located in California.
I called 1-403-399-7922 and talked with a conact agent, Jennifer Bell (so she say). I deposited the $2997.50 check into my bank account and when it didn't clear, I called Ms. Bell back and told her that I had trouble cashing it. She gave me a deadline. I got on the internet and discovered that this was a scam. No wonder, they want to keep it away from the public and the media.
