De Lotto North American sweeptakes lottery sent me a fake check

Received letter and check in the mail from Union Financial Securities, Inc. claiming I had won a lottery I never entered. It claimed I won $125.000, 00 and needed to cash the smaller check to pay the taxes upfront before receiving my winnings. The check for $4, 875 looked real but I decided to research on the internet. The check was written on Centra Bank Inc. is an actual bank. The name on the letter and most of the search results had 'scam' and 'ripoff' within the text. I went to complaint site to find many complaints/reports about this alleged scam. Be careful, don't cash the check, and read the other complaints
