Received a letter from British Sweepstakes on January 6th, 2006, stating that I had entered a "Telephone and Light Bill drawing held 11/15/2005. Of which I never did. Participants were selected from a computer ballot, drawn from 128, 000 telephone/light bills of individuals who signed up for the services. Of which I never did.
It seems that my ticket number with a serial number emerged as one of the winning numbers. Therefore I am to be awarded a lump sum of $50, 000 which is the total price payout money of $29, 137.00 shared among the winners.
The letter I received futher stated that they are enclosed a check for $50, 00 which was not included in the letter. I am asked to contact a Ms. Gladys Peters, at 1-647-868-1719 as soon as I received the check to enable them to either update/conclude my claim.
They stated that they will consider my so called claim received/completed if they do not hear from me by Tuesday, Febuary 14th, 2006. If anyone out there has received the same letter, please let me know. This is another scam that needs to be stopped!
