Maytag, Whirlpool And SEARS
They sold me a front load washer that produced mold and mildew due to the water not draining thus blowing the computer board due to the moisture

On July 11th 2005 I purchased a Maytag Neptune front load washer, model number MAH7500 with a matching dryer.
The washer has always had mold on the rubber gasket of the door that I would wipe down with disinfecting wipes every other day or two.

The strong swampy smell being emitted by the washer could only be masked by running a empty wash with disinfectant this helped rid the smell for a few days.
On September 2005 my washer failed due to the computer board blowing.

The service man sent out by Sears quoted $599.00 to fix the problem. I had thought that Maytag had a 10 year motor parts warranty that's what my brochure said that I was holding. Sears said no. Maytag said No. I declined the service thinking that it was very steep and decided to hunt for the part myself.

While searching the internet for the part I found out that this is an on going problem with Maytag front load washers. I also found out that my model number was included in a class action lawsuit regarding the same problems as my washer.

When I brought this to Maytags and Sears attention both companies denyed knowing anything about the lawsuit.
I was also informed that my washer was not on any recall list. I then asked both companies "How does a washer end up on a class action lawsuit list and not on any recall list"? Sears passed me off onto Whirlpool Canada at which point I was told (after many phone conversations) that they would offer me $500.00 for my washer.

I have a matching set that I expected to last more than 3 years: Now I must go and purchase another matching set due to their faulty manufacturing. They (both companies) knew of this fault and continued to sell this product in Canada to reduce stock. Both companies deny accountability. They have been to this dance before and are very rehearsed in their actions.

I had considered going legal but they will just remand until all my funds are exhausted, so I am using the washer in an art installation. Art has a huge voice and I'm going to make it scream. Sears and Maytag sold me a piece of shit and they knew it.
I am carving a 8ft douxx which will stand beside the Neptune washer which has a big axxx in it. The dxxxe will represent Maytag and Sears. I will leave the original stench and mold in the washer for realism.

I have received hundreds of letters from other customers with the same complaint and I will include them in the sculpture.
