My story only takes a slight twist earlier than the one year contract agreement. I made arraignments with Charles Debono that I would not pay hosting fees for the fist three month, or until the website was generating enough income to cover the fees. Well after three months of no profits, and working almost 16 hours a day on the so call marketing that Steve Burman taught at Encore University... LOL
Charles then agreed to resell my website in the coming fall franchise show. And just as many of the stories I have already heard, this was just another ploy to lead me on. This went on for several months, then one day I could no longer reach anyone within the company. Until one day I was served with a notice that I was being sued for $3000.00 by Encore Promotions for the outstanding hosting fees. Now, I not only was out $8000.00 for the website, but now they were after the hosting.
I contacted Al Blight & Associates serving Barrie, Ontario and Area to assist me in the matter. Mr. Blight represented me in the first stages, however he informed me that he had a number of others also holding claims against this company, and that another associate of his also had a half dozen complaints from other individuals.
Last I spoke with Mr. Blight was back in 2003-2004, he advised that they were trying to have all the cases heard before a judge at the same time. I have never herd back from Mr. Blight, and subsequently have felt suspicious of everyone out in the Ontario way. My concerns are that this is much larger a corrupt organization, ripping people off. You never know who's hands are in who's pockets. I've even been told that Encore was part of a large organized crime society, known as "The Hell's Angels".
If anyone is still fighting or newly fighting with these crooks, lets stand together and STOP them!
