My Husband recieved a letter just like the rest of you guys. Yes we did call but when we relized the person was talking on a cell phone. The red flag came up. After the lady by the name Ms. Julia Clark got through talking with him and telling him to deposit the $4, 980.00 check and after within 24 hrs. He needed to send a moneygram in the amount of $3, 980, leaving us a $1, 000 to spend. He would recieve the rest of his money in full within 24hrs.
I then took the phone to have her repeat everything she said to my husband to me when she became very angry. I knew then this was a scam.
That is when I did a google search just to see how bad this was.
These people need to be put away. I am so sorry for the people who fall for this.
