Received a check in mail for $3, 998.75 to deposit in my bank in order to receive the remaining amount of $11, 001.25 that I had supposedly won just by shopping in my favorite stores--i.e., WalMart, Target, etc. Before I would receive the remaining amount, I was to deposit the check and go to my nearest government office and pay the taxes on this money, after which I was to call him (Marc White) back, and he would give me the next instruction after receiving proof of US taxes paid.
The check was supposedly written by Sunnex, Inc. @ 85 S. Pioneer Blvd., Springboro, OH 45066--who Marc White said was one of their sponsors. Also, the check was signed by a different person than the one who signed the letter--also, there is no title of the person (s) who signed, and their signatures are illegible.
I'm trying to live day to day on Disability--which is extremely difficult. It was so tempting to do what he instructed, but I run stuff like this by one of my daughters to check out before I do anything stupid.
I'm so glad I did! This guy should be horsewhipped! I'm still not sure how he collects, or how much he would get for each of these transactions, if someone went along with it. Oh Well, Live & Learn, I guess--If it sounds too good to be true--it probably is!
