I received a letter that stated I had won an international sweepstakes lottery program

I received a letter that stated I had won an international sweepstakes lottery program. The prize was for $125, 000.00 dollars. Inside the letter there was a check for $2950.00. I called the number given and talked with a Gloria Ballard. She instructed me to cash the check and to wait for it to clear the bank the to call her back. At that time she would give me the name of the Customs Agent and I was to use Money Gram to wire him $2620.00 and the certified check for the rest of the monies would be delivered to my house the next day via UPS.

I called the US customes and they told me this was a total scam and to not try to cash the check. They also gave me a number to call for Phone Busters.
I am lcuky enough to know that when something sounds to good to be true it most likely is. Has anyone else had this typr of fraud happen to them???
