Consumer's Reward Program
Lottery winning scam

On June 09, 2008 I recieved a letter with a check of 3, 820 dollars saying I won a lottery. Now I have entered a lottery online and declined what I was suppose to have won cause they wanted money. When I recieved this check I took it to the bank to have it checked. Now I'm a single mother of 3 and I'm not financialy stable at all. I'm so behind on bills that I really wanted to cash this check so I can get caught up.

My mother was writing out checks to pay our bills when the bank told us not to trust it. The gentlemen gave us the phone number to CoastHills Federal Credit Union. When I called them they told me to rip up anything I have recieved from these people it was a fraud. So I called Dennis Red back and told him that I was informed that this check he sent was a fraud and they told me to call back on friday when they had everything in order. The guy made our conversation short and sweet and did not want to talk about anything.

These people need to be stopped. If it wasnt for my bank and CoastHills Federal Credit Union I would be out on the streets because of a fradualent check. People like me who needs this money and cant afford to deal with this stuff is going to suffer even more than what is relized.
