CES - Consumer Evaluation Service Yet another CES mystery shopper scam Windso

I received a brown envelope via usps 2 days ago. It contained a check for $980.00
I had to be a mystery shopper and survey MoneyGram. What I didn't understand was why they wanted to send $830.00. Why that specific amount? I would get $120 for my time. I am currently unemployed so of course it looked good to me but my husband said take the check to the bank and have them look at it. I said well I will check the Better Business Bureau website. They had nothing. Then I typed in google search the company name and was shocked to see that all these people had received the same thing and it was a fraud. All the reports people had submitted were the same exact thing that had happened to me.

I checked their website and it is still up and running and they are always looking for new mystery shoppers.
