I ordered a custom 7 string roswell star copy guitar to be hand built by Rampart Guitars. This guitar was to be built with a high quality, highly figured 4A quilt maple top for the body and headstock, basswood for the body core, transparent red gloss finish, a hardrock maple neck and premium black ebony fretboard, black 7 string floyd rose tremolo with posts pre drilled into the body, custom fit hardshell case and all cavity covers including screws.
this is the so called 4A-5A top on the guitar body that George at Rampart promised, not to mention the retarded pickup spacing between the pickups, totally stupid routing job..
They should have just used a cheaper rosewood fretboard instead of ripping me off with this looser piece of crappy grade ebony...
Here is a really sad pic of the so called 4A-5A quilt on the headstock. Also notice the streaks on the so called "premium ebony" fretboard. George made an excuse that the camera was 5 years old and that is why the quilt did'nt show in the picture.. "yeah right George"
What I received was a total ripoff. The quilt top was a 2A at best, the top was not bookmatched nor did the quilt go all the way across the body. There was no custom fit case or tremolo system. The clearcoat had a white hue to it and the rear tremolo cavity was not even routed for a cover, there was only 2 covers included, 1 for the truss rod and 1 for the electronics cavity that did'nt even have any damn screws or predrilled screw holes!!
I have all emails from George at Rampart to back up what I ordered and did not receive. I also have the recipt to the check I sent Rampart as well.. The workmanship on this guitar is a joke, the body and neck may be worth 200 dollars at best. I waited 6 months or so for a total joke of a guitar. This was a total ripoff and a crime at least in the U.S. since I paid 1400 U.S. dollars. This company should be banned from ebay as well as shipping to the U.S. They are con artists!!!
