My boyfriend lives in Halifax and I am in Montreal... His birthday was 3 days ago... so I got him a real nice potted ORCHID... so that the love and care he would have to give the flower would remind him of the love I have for him... (yeah, it's corny...)

But a nice thought none the less don't you think?
And thanks to Bloomex... IT NEVER HAPPENED!

After everything was confirmed and payed for, I received a phone call the next day (the day of delivery) which I missed, from an unknown number. They did not leave a message... and so I made nothing of it.

Later that day, I notice an e-mail asking if my order for the potted orchid could be substituted with CUT orchids, which I refused... wouldn't you? I would probably prefer to go with some other potted flower or plant. I included this info in my reply, of course.

After never getting a reply to the e-mail... OR a web-request (after their "chat" window didn't work)... OR a phone message (which by the way, is as close as you can get to actually SPEAKING to someone when you call the number they suggest you call for "more information").

Does anyone else see the irony and absurdity here...? I mean if you actually call, the ONLY way to realch them is to leave a message... yet when THEY call you, they don't even bother to leave a message, and later claim that they "could not reach me".

Two days later, I was finally able to use the chat window on their website and of course, they did not have EITHER of my contact attempts "on file"... AND confirmed that the flowers had been delivered!.. but my boyfriend confirmed to me that they were NOT... and this was a delivery in a University... not at a residence... so for sure someone is there to receive them.

After asking for a delivery confirmation, they were "HAPPY to put in that request for me"... but, you guessed it, I never received that either... I know... SHOCKING, HUH?

So my next step now is to DISPUTE THE CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD. I think that is what everyone should do! This way, they get debited the amount from their account and back into yours...!

After explaining your story to the credit company, especially with proof of all your tries to get satisfaction from Bloomex AND a reference to this web-site for additional track record proof, the charge will be reversed right away.

It doesn't make up for the fact that by now it's too late to make a good impression on your boyfriend's birthday... (or Valentine's Day... or your boss's retirement - for which you are now labeled the "thoughtless one" for not bringing anything)... but at least you can try to minimize your damages.

I just can't believe that with all these complaints, there isn't a way to shut these guys down..?

What happened to good netiquette...?
Has the fabric of this society been reduced to this fragile world-wide-web of lies and deceit that we call "progress"?

With all the "added security" in today's technology... are we just making it safer for crooks to not get caught and tangled up in messy trails that might lead us to them...?

Is going global really such a good thing?.. or just an easier place to hide?

Well I don't know... but I do know this... next time I want to send an orchid, I'll mail the bulb! Yes my friends... SNAIL MAIL!
