Poor product and poor customer service

I have been with Primus Canada for almost two years for both home phone line and high speed internet service. It was the worst experiece I had ever with a service provider. I was paying for a land line that turned out to be a VOIP quality service that Primus Canada kept confirming it was a land line. The high speed internet was not reliable and was donw in many cases and slow when it was up. The customer service did not seem to understand plain English. I signed a one year contract for the high speed internet for a fixed price. Few months later, Primus increased the price and when I wanted to cancel the contract they said I have to pay a cancellation fee. Billing was a nightmare as they kept adding charges that we never agreed to. An agreement with a manager in customer service meant nothing and I had to call many times to discuss why the bill did not reflect an agreement that I had with one of their managers. I had to wait for almost an hour in few occasions on the phone to get a customer service rep.

In shore, I don't recommend Primus for anything for the sake of mind sanity. I could probably trust them for garbage collection but not anything more.
