Joined with one of their promotions after reviewing their website as planned on retiring and starting to work out again.
I had attended for over two years when this was Monkey Gym till they shut down.
Wastold by their representative that you could place your membership onhold at any time - which is also displayed on their website in severalplaces.
Got a call for a long term job in North Vancouver that required leaving home early and getting home late.
NEVER ONCE WAS ABLE TO ATTEND - PAID 3 MONTHS DUES.
Decided to place the membership on hold as they advertise.
Attended Gym and told needed to speak to manager - tried 3 times to get him to phone no response.
Attended gym again with written request to place on hold till I was able to attend..
Placed stop payment on auto debits.
They then tried changing amount of auto debits to fool bank and threathened collections when that did not work.
AttendedGym again AFTER RECEIVING COLLECTION NOTICE FROM COLLECTION COMPANY -MANAGER MADE THREATS OF PHYSICAL VIOLENCE IF I DID NOT PAY THEM!!
This guy and this business is bad news - period!!
False advertising - false statements - just a horrible way to conduct business.
Filed the below complaint with Better Bureau after receiving harrashing phone calls from collection agency:
