Text messaging charge

This concern company, text message :77277. I completed a quiz and to get the answer I was ask to enter my cell phone. Then they bombarded me with their messages I didn't read and I didn't realized I was charged, my cell company deducted $100/$2/message. I am not savvy with cell phone, and I didn't know how to stop. I had no idea what was the name of the company, how to contact them etc. Finally Virgin staff gave me the company's name and their phone no.: 1-866-670-0126 to call and to complain. When I call Textchallenge comp. they said I've subscribed; that is not correct I just enter my phone no. to get the answer. I was duped into giving my cell no. then I was getting this junk messages I didn't read and I have no idea I was being charged. I understood if you send a message you pay, but not when you receive, this is really a scam and should be stopped. That's the only messages I received and I never send one. This company should be obliged to disclose their name from where is send. If you Google 'textchalenge fraud' you can read many others that were duped like me!!! CRTC should stop this scrupulous companies the way they operate, grubbing your money.
