I now have had the misfortune of getting as a gift, the poorest working piece of consumer electronics ever. The Samsung BD-P1600A Blu-Ray Disc Player.
To say it was a lemon, is an understatement.
The lack of correct start-up, controls that would only work a bit, picture that went in and out, and that was within the first 30 minutes of taking it out of the box. I tried the firmware upgrade but it would not give me a picture long enough, or functioning controls to get it to install.
It was given as a gift, but for the time it would take to track down the purchase receipt, its not worth my time.
I severely doubt I will trust my luck to another piece of consumer electronics from Samsung.
One unhappy consumer!
