Art Institute Of Toronto
Good people BAD SCHOOL

Went to the school the year it opened for 2d art and animation (The teachers were fantastic!). I completed the course and signed up for Video game development. At the very begining we were told we would NOT need a math backround or knowledge of coding. We were also told that if any of us needed tutoring that the school would supply it. On top of that we were told all graduates would have full access to all the tools in the school.

Two of the 5 classes that semester were heavily based in algebra and geometry as well as scripting and coding. Teachers were very very unsupportive, did not allow enough time to complete homework (We would get an assignment that was needed for next weeks homework, except the teacher wouldn't return it until the very last day. To comeplete the homework you would need to stay up all night.).

As I couldn't complete the course I dropped from it and started attending another school. I went back to the school to use the scanning room and was told I couldn't enter without my passport. I WORKED in the office at the school after hours, they knew who I was but they refused to let me in. I asked to speak to the dean. He made me wait for an hour before walking out and telling me I couldn't use the equipment because I didn't graduate. I reminded him that I graduated from the animation program just a few months ago and they still refused to let me enter.

On top of that they were hard as h*ll to get tuition refunds from. I should have been able to get some of the money back since I dropped from the Game course early but they made it very hard.

Art Institutes continues to call me asking me to sign up for courses to this day.

I will never ever trust them again.
