My experience with Richard Billington QC, of Calgary Alberta has convinced me that the report filed on this man could very well be accurate. In my own experience I found him willing and freely able to lie, cheat, or play the legal system without regard for the truth, or for the honor of his profession.
It is a shame that the law society allows such a person to maintain a license to practice. I feel it is only a matter of time before Mr. Billington is disbarred for his illegal and unethical tactics.
If he is your lawyer, then congratulations, you have found one who will lie to the court in order to win. You have found THE man who give lawyers a bad name. I suspect he requires a sizeable payment to do this.
If he is your opponent's lawyer, it will be rather easy to catch him cooking his case. His blunders are huge, his oversights are legendary, they are obvious and it is remarkable be has lasted this long. But his reputation has not lasted.
Mr. Billington, may you find peace in your mind and your conscience someday. You have hurt so many with your childish need to make more of yourself than you feel you are. You failed.
