today (dec 13th 2007) i got a letter in the mail from tridelta financial group stating i won 48, 000 from an online drawling. they said i entered something back in june. one small problem... i never entered anything. i also got a check for 4, 955.00. i called the number on the letter and gave them my "ticket number 516-236-195". they went on to confirm that this was not a scam and that i was a winner and gave me a second number which i called. all i had to do was take my check to my bank, wait for it to clear, then send them back the money to collecte my winnings.
I took my check and my letter to my bank and had them look over it (still thought it was fake). they confirmed that it was a scam and to take both papers to the police. needless to say i will be contacting the police tomorrow and i also got my local consumers number from the post office. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!
