My ex-boyfriend of 7 years and I thought there might be a chance that he was the father of my unborn child. We both wanted to know immediately, since I had a pending wedding later that year. He found Genetest Laboratories online and we took the test when I was 14 weeks. We received the results 2 months after the test and it said he cannot be excluded as the father in one sentence. There were no percentiles, no email, no data and no research to support this test. I was skeptical because I knew it was only a few days after my period when we were together. According to my doctor my due date confirmed the conception date was the date I was with my current beau, which was 4 days after my ex and the date my ovulation would normally take place.
I found it very weird that my ex had many difficulties with Genetest, obtaining the test, obtaining the results and being on a first name basis with the CEO/Dr. He also informed me that the CEO/Dr. was a dentist and did this part time out of his personal laboratory.
After I received the results, I decided to tell my now husband the truth that there might be a chance this was my ex's baby. My husband and I being very skeptical researched Genetest labs only to find their website down and their number out of order. I am a two months away from my due date and will post the findings after we take a legit paternity test.
