Mr Muirhead was contracted to do a major renovation in our home. The house was redesigned; many new windows were added and all existing windows were replaced.
With few exceptions, all the workers hired did shoddy work and some of the worst workmanship was performed by Dennis himself. Everything Dennis did was torn out and redone. His contract was "cost plus" and we discovered the trades he hired charged, in some cases, TWICE market rates. I fired his hardwood guy and found my own supplier/installer at half the cost (they did a great job too).
Danico's drywallers cut the vapor barrier, covered many of the switches and, believe it or not, screwed drywall into "air" - completely missed the stud but screwed it in anyway. A lot of the drywall was pulled down and re-installed. The mudders left a huge mess for me to clean up
Plumbing - We spent an thousands re-doing the plumbing and repairiring drywall where we had leaks and burst pipes.
Had to pull out all the windows and re-install after a rain revealed that they all leaked because of improper installation. Drywall and trim had to be replaced/repaired.
We sued and won however Danico has yet to pay the judgement.
