Rip-off! Dishonest! There is something strangely amiss at this company

On 9-17-03 I purchased a number of products from Rawganique. After I received the products I called the company in October and reported my dissatisfaction with a few of them. Two of the products were articles of clothing that didn't fit. Those I ended up exchanging for other articles.

The other product I had a problem with was a comforter. The batting inside the comforter was clumping together. I was told then by the person I talked with that this was normal and that simply placing the comforter in a dryer on air fluff would solve the problem. When I responded that I didn't have a dryer and that I air dry all my laundry I was told that the same result could be achieved by hanging the comforter in the sun.

Of course sun is not too abundant here in Illinois in the fall so I told him I may have to wait until next spring. He assured me that the problem would be taken care of as soon as I aired the comforter out.

In good faith I waited until the first available date when I could air-out the comforter. Unfortunately due to a very wet Spring, that ended up being June. Though after a full day of airing out in the sun the comforter's batting still remained clumped together.

I called the company again and relayed my story to someone who said he would investigate the matter and get back to me. I never heard back from him and after a week I called back. This time I talked to John, who claimed that what I had been told before about putting the comforter in the dryer or airing it out in the sun was wrong. He further stated that the clumping of the batting in my comforter was an unusual problem.

When I asked John what we should do about this problem, he said that it was too late to exchange the product for full value and said that he might be able to get me an exchange credit for half the value. I replied that this comforter had been defective since I purchased it and that the only reason it wasn't returned earlier was because of the wrong information I received from his company that gave me false hope that the problem could be fixed.

Before talking with John I would've been willing to exchange the defective comforter for other products, but after talking with John I feel there is something strangely a-miss at this company and would prefer to not have any future dealings with them and receive a full refund for the comforter.
