System crashes

I purchased my laptop new from best buy 14 months ago. It runs very hot, and crashes a lot. The screen goes blank and I can't wake it up or shut it down even by hitting the shutoff button. I have to take the battery out for it to shut down. Then I have to start the computer and let it go through safe mode because the system wasn't responding and I might lose information. This has happened at least 50 times in a 14 month period. I'm just finally getting really super fed up with this annoyance. There must be something wong with this laptop. My problem started about 1 month after purchase, but since I could always get it up and running again and I don't have much spare time to take it in for repairs, I've just been going through the annoyance of unplug, take battery out, put battery back in, boot up, go through safe mode etc. I am so very unhappy with HP as my daughter, grandaughter and husband purchased ACER while I said I want an HP and they have NEVER had even one problem with their laptops. I need my computer on a daily basis so servicing beyond 24 hours is out of the question. I truly feel HP should give me a new computer because of this HP lemon I purchased. If HP doesn't rectify this problem they can count on me NEVER purchasing an HP produce again, and I will make sure I let everyone I know, which is a lot of people over and above my 1000 plus friends on facebook. I will await your reply. I do hope you answer this complaint in a timely manner. Candice James
