I recently went to get the oil changed on my truck, the attendant told me that a line and the seal on my transmission pan was leaking. They offered to fix it and I declined thinking that I would take it to a specialty shop for better service and a cheaper rate, Mr Transmission, boy was I wrong!
First off before I took the truck to Mr. Transmission, there was no fluid leaking excessively from my tranny.By that I mean that only a drop or two was in my regular parking spot.
I take it to them, they call me saying that the front seal is gone and that I'll need to get it replaced. It will cost around $700. I tell them not to do the work that I need to think about it and that I will pick up my truck that same day. I go and pick it up only to find a puddle of tranny fluid under my truck. I mention this to the manager and he says "well it's probably because we put some tranny fluid in it" which I thought was a complete lie because the workers that changed the oil the day before topped it up.
I got the truck home parked it and watched as all the tranny fluid slowly leaked out. I looked under the truck and the bell housing of my tranny was soaked, compared to before where it was dry and there was no visible leak.
I seriously think that they sabotaged my truck to make sure I would go back. Too bad for them that I found another shop that said that job only costs around $300. Hopefully I have better luck with them. I will never go back to Mr. Transmission.
p.s. I Mr. Transmission that money was an issue and they tried to get me to sign up for one of their credit cards. ya right.
