Snowbear Unlimited
, Maria Ognibene The wheels on my brand new Snowbear Unlimited utility trailer fell apart

I purchased a new Snowbear Unlimited utility trailer at the home depot in May and drove it 2 miles from the store to my backyard where it sat covered with a tarp until July when I had my first opportunity to use it for a camping trip. Four families were relying upon my brand new trailer to haul everyone's equipment up to the mountains to celebrate my 40th birthday with me.

The first time I took the tarp off of my new trailer to prepare for our trip I noticed that both tires were low. Not just low, but completely empty and flat.

First I called the home depot where I bought the trailer to learn that they no longer sell Snowbear products (hmmm, wonder why?) and will not help me replace the defective tires on the new trailer they sold me.

Next I called Snowbear directly and was told that I would have to contact, and deal with, the tire company on my own.

Friday morning at 11 a.m. I completed and submitted the warranty form that Duro Tire had sent to me, along with pictures and all the other hoops they wanted me to jump through. I made it very clear that it was still early enough in the day to get this resolved THAT DAY, Friday, so I could take my trailer camping on Saturday. I didn't hear from Duro Tire (and have subsequently filed a complaint against them as well).

The camping trip had to be cancelled because I personally disappointed four families greatly by not having a trailer as I had promised.

Friday night I submitted complaints to both Duro Tire and Snowbear Unlimited via their respective websites stating that I was dissatisfied with how both companies were handling my issue.

Monday morning I got a call from Maria Ognibene at Snowbear Unlimited responding to my website submission. She explained to me that Snowbear stands firmly behind their products and every part of the trailer is covered under the warranty. Except the wheels. The wheels on the brand new trailer I just bought, according to Snowbear Unlimited and Maria, are not part of their trailer. Snowbear seems to think that their wonderful product is still of some use to me with no wheels on it.

So I have a new $500 trailer that Snowbear claims to stand behind, but I can't use it because of the poor purchasing and procurement decisions they've obviously made; and because they chose to be in a business relationship with a disreputable vendor like Duro, who will not stand behind their product. But that gives Snowbear Unlimited just enough leeway to slither their way out of responsibility for backing up their ENTIRE product.

Maria and Snowbear offered to sell me a new pair of wheels at a discounted price. She said they might be able to help me with shipping costs, but, they also might not be able help with the shipping costs. It's still up to me to do the labor of getting my new trailer up on blocks, removing the defective wheels and installing the new ones.By myself. In the 117 degree Arizona summer heat.

With licensing, registration, and a new hitch specifically for this trailer I am over $800 into this new trailer, and I can't use it. Now the manufacturer wants me to spend more money to buy 2 more of these defective Duro Tires from them.
