I wasn't sure whether I sould rebuttle to a previously posted report (there are many) or to formulate my own. I believe there is strength in numbers so here is my typical story.
I was called by a rep for GC&T who virtually guananteed me the sale of my truck for thousands more than I was asking in the auto trader... with a MONEY BACK GUARNATEE!.
well, I bit and sunk $200 in the add.
in 3 monthes I recived only 1 call and that was from another rep from GC&T that saw me re-run my ad in the auto trader and was trying to sell me space in GC&T.. Over the course of 3 months I droped my price over and over.. to the point that I would never have sold it for the price advertised but just wanted to know if anyone actually visits the site. NOPE!
92 days after my credit card was charged I sent my NOTARIZED refund application back, complete with copy of registration (just as stipulated in the 'find print')
1 month later I recived a letter indicating they were unable to process my refund because I didn't fall within the 90-97 day window.
Hand written in pen I read "Your ad was possted on November 17 2005. Moneyback guarantee was post marked February 22 2006 which is a total of 103 days! "
#1) - Nov 17 2005 - Feb 22 2006 is NOT 103 days... it is 97 days.
#2) - My credit card was billed the same day my ad ran on Nov 22 which is 92 days.
As everyone else has found out, I am having great dificulty finding someone to talk to that knows anything at all about refunds and 'beverly' apparently works part time. (if ever)...
WARNING!! this operation is a scam and is full of internet rip-off artists...
