Transmission Depot
Transmission

Worst transmission shop ever!

Last month I took my car in to Transmission Depot on Kipling Ave.

This is the most incompetent transmission shop I have ever seen. I brought my Nissan 300zx in because the gears were beginning to stick. My car was kept there for more than one month. I was told that the part was on backorder and they could not finish repairs until it arrived.

When I finally went to pick up my car I was told it was running well except that second gear was acting up a little. I did not expect perfection as this was an old car. I paid $1470.00 and drove off thinking the car was now drivable; not even close. The gears were grinding, second gear did not work at all and when I got it into 4th it locked and I was stranded in the middle of the Queensway. This caused me almost to have an accident on the way back to the shop. I was furious that anyone would release a car in this condition. Needless to say I returned the car.

I spoke to the owner over the phone the next day. He was difficult to understand because of a bad phone they had at the shop and his accent. He made little sense so I began dealing with the mechanic directly again.

As it was explained to me, they only replaced the clutch but did not attempt to repair the transmission itself. Now I was extremely apprehensive to leave my car with these idiots any longer, so I went to pick it up. They forced me to sign an invoice stating that I did not want the car repaired. They would not release it until I signed the form.

This was the absolute worst car repair experience I have ever had. Whatever you do... DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO TRANSMISSION DEPOT!!
