On the morning of Sat. Sept. 19 at approximately 8 am. a party of four, while traveling in southern Manitoba, stopped for breakfast at the Neepawa McDonalds. We found the conditions deploreable, far below the normal and customary standards of McDonald's restaraunts. The floors and table tops were dirty. The abundance of flies truly defies description. We are not talking about a few flies here. We are talking about hundreds of flies. This is true for the dining area, as well as the food preparation area. The food was substandard to the extent that two of our four breakfast sandwiches were cold to the touch and hash browns were at best warm. While we emphasize with the young lady attempting to provide service at the counter, it was clear that this person's disadvantaged situation prevented her from functioning in a manner acceptable for the position. Management surely should and must have recognized this situation. As we travel frequently, we often choose to eat at McDonalds for their consistency in quality of food and service. Our experience at the Neepawa McDonalds was unacceptable and quite to the contrary. Bob & Sandy Teets Durand WI, USA
