Ripoff Artists, Fraudulent bank withdrawals Buffalo

I was contacted by a "ADIL" by phone on July 3rd and for a membership fee of $199.00 I would receive two credit cards (Visa and MC) one with 0% interest for life and the other for %4.9% interest. Since I'm in the process of trying to re-establish my credit, it sounded like a good deal. Well, I was foolish enough to give them my bank account information and was to have the funds withdrawn on July 15th, 2002.Then i rememember the saying "if its sounds to good to be true, it probably is", and I decided to do some research. GUESS WHAT, I found them here. I went to my bank this morning to try and cancel the withdrawel, and was informed by them it couldn't be done, because it's an electronic transfer. The bank Rep did inform me, however, that i could file an "unauthorized transaction" report after the funds were withdrawn and the funds would be returned to me. Well, I decided not to wait that long, and tried to call this so-called business at their "customer service number" (416-488-4664). As so may other people have experienced, all you will get is an answering service requesting your membership number, blah blah blah. Being upset enough at myself for falling for such a scam, I decide to call the original number that came across my caller ID (416-488-9354) and ADIL answered the phone. I told him I wanted to cancel this before it even started. He tried to convince me that they were no longer affiliated with First Consumers Capital Group. Then I asked him why he answered the phone "First Consumers Capital Group"? He began to studder and proceeded to tell me only a supervisor could cancel the pending Debit transaction. I began to get irrate with this individual and told him to put me on the phone with a supervisor then. Adil tryed to tell me that they were all out to lunch!!! I told him I had better receive of phone call back from a supervisor within two hours or I would file a lawsuit. He finally backed down explaining to me I wouldn't receive a phone call in two hours and he would cancel my "membership". This is the first, and last time I'll ever trust anyone over the phone again. Thanks canada-complaints.com, I'll update this report after July 15th to advise what happened. DON'T LET THIS COMPANY GET ANYONE ELSE!!! ArtFrankfort, Kentucky
