As others have reported, we too received a letter enclosing a very real looking check in the amount of $4750.00 purported to be for a tax payment against USA Mega sweepstakes winnings of $250, 000. The letter appears to have been mailed from South Africa, (although that could be fraudulent as well), and the check purports to be drawn against The Standard Insurance Co. in Charlotte, NC, and its account with Citibank, NA, One Penns Way, New Castle, DE. I plan to take this package of information to the U.S. Attorney for investigation and prosecution.
