I got a letter in the mail saying that I was the winner of $56, 985.00 after a computerized drawing process at the Annual Consumer's Clearing Awards. They included a very authentic looking check for $3, 985.80 (from Old Second National Bank in Auorora, IL) which was to help defray expenses I might incur when trying to secure my award. There was a number to call a man named Steve Davis in order to get the rest of the money. It's a very clever scam.
