I hate the fact that ppl like myself is trying to establish good credit again are being prayed upon by these scammers! I found an ad through Kijiji in Canada:
"Have you been declined a loan with any Bank or Second Chance Company? Do you really need your loan? Let us do the work for you and get you what you need, we get up to 98% of our clients approved a day!!! So why wait and keep hearing No's for an answer.

First off, the mispelt word of "Financial" should be a dead give away. And it was too good to be true.
I responded to his stupid ad.
This guy called me, as I was seeking a loan. I am just trying to re-establish my credit, as I have gone through bankruptcy before. His name is Franco Delserra. He speaks very fast, when you try to ask a question, he answers quickly as to seem like he is a legit "financial consultant". He is not professional at all, no voice message, does business through a cell phone. Gave me a cell phone # of (514) 452-0030 and using a toll free number that never works, its usually busy, and one time it directed me to a "Home Health Care number".
He said despite my credit history, I've been approved for $5000.00 through a private lender named Delcan Corp. I was first to send a service fee of $86.00 to his bank account he have me his bank account. Good thing I didn't go through with it, as the bank told me this was a personal acct and not a business account. So basically he was going to charge me for services of the words "YOU'RE APPROVED". He would call me to see if I had deposited my service fee. He really pressured me to go and do that first. But why should I rush on a $86.00 fee, if I'm not even sure if I'll get the loan. So the bank confirmed it anyways for me.
He told me that once I sent him the $$$ then he would FedEx the package, with all the info and papers to sign, and I was to give him post dated cheques etc. my husband ask him tons of questions, like if we can speak to this private lender etc... and he came up with answers that didn't make sense. He told my husband that he was going to call me to explain more of the process... as I was approved. Lo and behold... he never called me back.
I spoke to a local Financial Consultant in Calgary, and they said that the policy has changed in Canada, that no third party is allowed to be involved when it comes to getting a loan through private lenders, unless they are associated with a big financial institute such as CIBC, HSBC, and TD.
The issue is... if I would of sent him $80.00 which not a lot of money... people would not suspect that this was indeed a scam. And that he was a true professional, interested in helping a person like me! Since it is a small amount of money... but there was no guarantee only the word from a stranger. Can you imagine if he has been collecting $86.00 from hundreds of ppl over Canada and the US?
I am sure the bank is investigating his account right now. As they were the ones who really sealed the deal with me, tell me that it looks fishy. And it was... if this was a legit business, why am I depositing $$$ into a personal account? Wouldn't you have a business account instead? And service fees should be only included in the loan or charged at the end, and not paid UPFRONT, good credit or bad... that should not happen!
