I applied for a loan online. Yes, desperate people do desperate things.
I was assured by Elizabeth Jones, an employee of Richtree Financial that I was approved for a loan. But I would need to buy a Standard Unemployment and Disability Insurance policy for $800. This seems believeable, since I have bought insurance policies before with loans. She told me that I would never miss my $800. That the loan proceeds would be in my account very soon after they recieved my $800. We sent in our entire payday, yes I know desperate people do desperate things. We sat here flat broke all weekend and continue to be broke. When I finally reached Richtree on Monday morning I was transferred to Jeffery Bradley who is the manager of this particular branch office. He told me there was a problem with my loan. That the lender had done more research on my credit history and was asking for $750 addition "collateral" before they would issue my proceeds. But, that I was also approved for an additional $10, 000 for a total of $20, 000. I said no to just send my orignal $800 back to me. He did not want to cancel the loan. It took me telling him several times before he would agree to cancel. Then he told me that I would recieve my $800 in 4-6 weeks. I told him that I want my money just the way he recieved it... instantly.
He told me that I would have to wait just like everyone else. I asked to speak with Ms Jones again and he told me that he was the Manager and Ms Jones did not know what was going on. I did finally speak to Ms Jones but Mr Bradley cut back in. After he told me that he was the manager about 6 times then he started calling me "Mrs Bradley". He then told me that I had him confused and that I was "stubborn". I told him yes I am stubborn when it comes to my money. I asked twice for the name of the company who was going to be issuing me a loan and he refused to give it to me. Telling me that it was a "Private Lender" and the only way I could have that information was to be an employee in his office. I gave him the choice of either depositing my loan proceeds or depositing my $800 immediately. He refused. He hung up on me. I called back twice getting his voice mail both time. I left him a message to call me back within 5 minutes and he has not done so. We dealt with this company, particularly Ms Jones, for a week before papers were signed and money was exchanged. Why did it take so long for the "private lender" to decide they wanted more collateral? I mentioned getting a lawyer and Mr Bradley told me he was not afraid of my lawyer. I just want my $800 back as fast as Mr Bradley recieved it. He also told me that he promised me that there would be no more charges after the additional $750 and that I could trust him, he was "The Manager".
