When I complained about criminal conduct by my web host, ICANN referred me to the registrar: www.in2net.com, owned by Mr. Tang for help. I have a problem with one of their resellers, doteasy.com. Or it may be two names for the same company, as Mt. Tang did not respond.
I want to challenge the behavior of my domain name host, Doteasy.com. I had six domain names with them, many for more than a decade. Since last year, I have been transferring them away. Other servers have much better offers and services.
When I asked for the authorization code to transfer the first two domain names, they asked why I was transferring them, but eventually complied.
For the third one. they said it was locked--but I did not select or pay for that service. After some delay, they sent the code for that one.
I tried to transfer another www.functionalevaluation.org on April 4 but before I could, they told me it had been automatically renewed--but I did not choose that service--not ever for any of my domain names. Given that they had told me the other domain I tried to transfer was locked and then conceded it was not, they are liars.
I challenged the payment with my credit card and blocked the charge.
Doteasy says I would have to sign a statement to agree to be charged for the renewal and then pay them a $25 transfer fee and a $100 dispute resolution fee. They are holding the domain name hostage.
I have two more domain names to transfer from them in June and I do not want to undergo this nonsense.
Can you help?
I have renewed domain names days or maybe a week late and there was no problem. I told them before the renewal date, as soon as they said they had renewed it, that I wanted to transfer it and they should not have renewed it.
