This company not only ripped me off but stole my money and hurt me financially.
In June 2002 I was contacted by First Capital Consumers Group, notifying me that I was approved for a Visa card with a credit limit of $2000 and no fees. I thought this offer was too good to refuse since there were no fees. The catch was that I had to pay them $199 in order to recieve this card.
They took down all my personal information including my social security number and checking account number and told me that I would recieve my "too good to be true" credit card within 7-10 days.
Though they had taken out $199 from my checking account I did not recieve the credit card or even heard back from them since. I had began trying to reach this company every day at least 4-8 times a day. I always reached an answering machine and have left numerous messages, and never once had they returned my phone calls.
I am a 20 year old student bearly making it on my own. I recently lost my job and could really use that $199 at this time for my bills. It hurts me so much that this company literally stole my money. It's very upsetting knowing that these people are still scamming other innocent people out of money.
