"Welcome to the Club" is what this title should be. I too found out the hard way how this outfit operates. I got suckered into the "Trial" as well, only to find that the trial period starts when you place the order but the product doesn't show up until 3-4 weeks later. Just in case you do by some miracle get the delivery within those 10 days they slip through the full charge after 7 or 8 days and once it's charged you're screwed. When I did phone their Customer Service line I got a woman in some obviously busy and noisy room that could barely speak understandable english. When I gave her my order # she seemed to get the info pretty quick and started telling me how lucky I was yada yada yada. When I told her I didn't get the order yet she told me to wait and that it was shipped and would arrive shortly. I told her that I wanted to cancel any future deliveries and/or shipments and she kept trying to make me some grandiose offer for this or that. I repeatedly said "No thanks" and this must've repeated 4 or 5 times until I finally said I didn't want any deal or extra offer and if the product did eventually show up and I liked it and wanted more then I'd call and order more. She was nothing if not persistent and it was obvious that she was reading off of a paper because she kept launching into some NEW deal and I'd interrupt her which broke her dialogue and she had to start all over again. The first few times I was doing it because I couldn't hear and understand her but after the 3rd time I figured out what was happening and thought if she was going to make me go through all these hoops and barrels then she was going to have to work on her end too. Finally after about 10 minutes she relented and said that she'd process it and there'd be an email come to me that I'd have to follow and submit to confirm the change to my "account". I did all of this and sent it off and am still awaiting a confirmation that they received it and it was complete. When I asked about the premature charge on my credit card she was quick to tell me it was non-refundable and sorry it was early. Yeah right! Further I called my credit card company and told them the situation and asked them to put any stop if they tried to sneak another payment through. I was informed that they can't do that and that after I confirm with Diet Max that these payments and shipments are confirmed cancelled there is still a 15 day window that they can slip in another payment and I'm liable for it. Even if I cancelled my card it'd be forwarded to my new card. Anyways, seeing that this is so wide spread is maddening but like grandpa said "there's a sucker born every minute" and I guess it was my minute. We should at least get a free t-shirt that reads, "I Got Screwed by Diet Max"
