Bell ExpressVu satelite
Dead person must give 30 days notice of upcoming death

UNBELIEVABLE! My ex husband, who lived in Lillooet, BC had a subscription with Bell ExpressVu. He had ordered NFL ticket cuz he luvs football. Unfortunately, on sept 6 2008, he died suddenly. I am the executrix of his will. I live in Winnipeg, MB. After flying out to BC to deal with his body and his affairs, I returned to winnipeg and contacted Bell ExpressVu to let them know that Chris had passed away on Sept 6. The gentleman I spoke with was kind and sympathetic, and told me he cancelled his bell expressvu right there and then, and the total owing on his bill was $110.82. I told him that once I had an estate account set up and had access to his money to pay his bills, i would pay it immediately. He told me i could just go to any bank with the accnt number and pay it that way. That was around September 20th. Now, at the end of october, I recieve a bill addressed to "estate of Chris W&& for the amnt of $244.90. I immediately called Bell ExpressVu to see why this bill was so high, since I already spoke with them a month ago and confirmed he owed $110.82. After spending over an hour on the phone... the guy kept putting me on hold, he still insisted "after speaking to his manager" that even tho I called on sept 20th, their policy is you need to give one month notice to cancel your subscription. EXCUSE ME??? So what hes sayin is... chris shoulda called them on august 6 to say "I wanna cancel my subscription cuz im gonna die on sept 6". Like WTF??? and not only that, chris had ordered NFL ticket, and it started beginning of september. Well, I dont think he even got to watch ONE game, but they are insisting he has to pay the entire amnt of that NFL pkg (almost $200) even tho he died the day it started! So a dead man has to pay a month of programming and his whole NFL Pkg for the year!!! Is he watchin his NFL from heaven??? The customer service there is absolutely disgusting!!! How can they charge a dead man for programming that he OBVIOUSLY isnt watching... especially after they already told me what the final bill was??? UNBELIEVABLE!!!
