Fidelity Finance Company/Wells Fargo Bank Checks
Lottery Tax check with bonus

I received a letter stating that I was a second chance winner in a Canadian Lottery. Enclosed was a check for 5985.00 with the request to return to a Tax agent by the name of Stacey Goodwin the amount of 4985.00 to pay for GST taxes. Upon checking with Wells Fargo, this account was ligite. However, there is a hard hold on it for possible fraud, loss of security, or compromise of the account. If a similar check drawn on Wells Fargo is received, I have been advised to take it to a local Wells Fargo Bank and have them examine it for validity and whether it is cashable or not. Since we have no branches in my area I am relunctant to cash such a check. From all indications this is a fraud on the people receiving the checks and the accounts that are being debited for the monies.
