The check looks SO real. But the closer you look and the more you investigate the clearer the truth becomes that SANDRA JOHNSON is a fake! The first tip off is the phone number that they give you to call. The voicemail claims that the mailbox is full and they never inform you of the name of the establishment that you are calling. Then, if they do answer, there's a foreign woman claiming to be Sandra Johnson. Now, I'm no culture specialist, but never have I encountered a foreign individual with the last name Johnson.
The instructions that they give you don't make any sense. They tell you that you have to pay a certain amount of taxes on a prize amount of money in order to receive that full amount. But, thus far, it has been my understanding that in any cash prize the taxes are either already deducted or are your responsibility to take care of AFTER you have received the money.
I thank GOd that he watches after his people. Especially us whom are awaiting a financial blessing from him and to whom a scam such as this may seem like GOD's work.
PLEASE do not send ANYTHING to Sandra Johnson, Nathan Caledonia or Zenith financial and trust bank (unless it is the police).
In this case I am SO glad that I am a natural born skeptic.
what can we do to protect ourselves against such crooked, and underhanded scam artists as these?
