Saint Mary s University
Course remuneration

I took a course through their accessibility program for autistic people. It was an online course. This course promised to pay out a certain amount on completion.

I was forced to apply using my maiden name because it had to match the sin card exactly. I knew it would be a hassle because I am a married woman and I use my married name for all of my banking information.

I was assured that my name would be spelled correctly on my payment. I was assured twice by the same person.

They then offered to do an auto deposit and I filled out the form. Was told it was fine. Several weeks later I was told my form had missing information. I filled the form out for the second time and sent it in. No communication that it was received.

Several more weeks pass and a CHEQUE shows up in my mail and the NAME IS INCORRECT .

Everybody involved in this organization and this group has quite blatantly ignored all of my attempts to communicate with them and get this set right. They issued my money to the wrong name despite assurances to the contrary. I deserve to be compensated accordingly but nobody will respond to my complaint.

This is an abuse of a disabled member of the community by people who are supposed to care and who profess to do so. It's also a slight against a woman for using her married name on her banking information yet being forced to use her maiden name for an application for this course which they advertised.
