I bought a new central vac unit after Christmas (and paid for an extended warranty)... We had it installed about a month ago. There are loose connections in the power head and the vacuum tube. It doesn't work and has never worked and they won't replace it. I have to wait yet another month for parts. It is crazy for a brand new (defective) item that they won't just exchange it. They say it is "Store Policy" that they only repair, never replace. I have already dragged it into the store twice and to their repair subcontractor once. It still does not work and they now say to to it to yet another repair place (but there are still no parts). I have been driving back and forth between three cities trying to get it replaced or to get it to work. BEWARE!
