The Shoppers Lottery has made its way to Ohio. I received a letter in the mail stating that I was a winner in the Shoppers Lottery. The poorly typed letter stated that I was selection through a random computer from shoppers names from selected stores in North America like Walmart, Sears, K-Mart etc.
I was sent a check that looks very real in the amount of $4, 700 from a bank in New York - Ridgewood Savings Bank.
I did some on-line searching to find this is a scam.
The company information is Solid Finance Incorporated, Promotions Division, Prize and Award Presentation, 20 King Street, Ottawa, Ontario Canada K6V 3P6. The contact person is Janet Sanchez at 647-893-5587. The letter is also signed by a Steve Nobel.
