They will break contract and hold your equipment for ransom!

On Thursday, May 14th at approximately 12 noon EDT, Moxie Communications Inc - our colocation provider - was dropped by one of their upstream ISPs. Due to the gross negligence demonstrated on the part of Moxie, who informed their clients that the cutover would be performed starting Friday, May 15th at 9 am and assured us that we would have weeks to move IP addresses, that the move would be seamless, and that new addresses would be promptly assigned I demanded the termination of our service and the return of my hardware.

Rather than take responsibility for their incompetence, they are passing off the blame to Net Acccess Corporation, who was providing them with their IP address space. From my present understanding there was nothing more than a non-binding assurance from Net Access that Moxie would have extended use of their address space, and Moxie not only coasted past the official cutoff date on little more than this assurance but unapologetically left dozens of clients stranded, and demanded that we come on location to "fix" our IP configuration.

In lieu of my cancellation, Moxie sprung a surprise "termination penalty" of three months' payment and cited a contract that I do not recall signing. They have failed to produce said contract even when requested by the Peel Regional Police department. Our servers are being held ransom, Moxie demands $1120CAD in cash or certified cheque before they will release our equipment.
